Calculation method in Afghanistan
By default we calculate prayer times in Afghanistan with the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi method (Fajr 18°, Isha 18°), in line with the timetables of the religious authorities or most mosques in the country. You can choose another method on any city page.
Asr is calculated by the Hanafi rule, followed by most Muslims in Afghanistan: it begins when the shadow of an object equals twice its length plus its noon shadow. The earlier standard Asr is shown on every city page too.
Our map data includes 3,632 mosques in Afghanistan; each city page lists the mosques nearby.
