Calculation method in Fiji

By default we calculate prayer times in Fiji with the Muslim World League method (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°), in line with the timetables of the religious authorities or most mosques in the country. You can choose another method on any city page.

Asr is calculated by the standard rule (Shafi‘i, Maliki and Hanbali schools): it begins when the shadow of an object equals its length plus its noon shadow. The later Hanafi Asr is shown on every city page too.

Our map data includes 27 mosques in Fiji; each city page lists the mosques nearby.

Islamic holidays in Fiji

Dates follow the Umm al-Qura calendar of Saudi Arabia. Many countries start each month after a local moon sighting, so a holiday may fall a day later.
