Fajr and Isha at high latitudes
From 4 June to 8 July the sun in Vohenstrauß never sinks 18.0° below the horizon, so the twilight that defines Fajr never fully ends.
For Isha (17.0°) this happens from 17 June to 25 June.
On those dates Fajr and Isha are estimated with the angle-based rule: the night is divided in proportion to the twilight angle, e.g. 18/60 of the night for 18°. You can choose another rule in the calculation settings.
Prayer times by calculation method, 8 November
Mosques use different twilight angles for Fajr and Isha, which is why timetables in Vohenstrauß can differ: today the earliest and latest Fajr are 31 min apart, and Isha differs by up to 25 min.
