- While the sun is setting: 4:33 pm – 4:48 pm

Fajr and Isha at high latitudes
From 17 May to 26 July the sun in Thurles never sinks 18.0° below the horizon, so the twilight that defines Fajr never fully ends.
For Isha (17.0°) this happens from 22 May to 21 July.
On those dates Fajr and Isha are estimated with the angle-based rule: the night is divided in proportion to the twilight angle, e.g. 18/60 of the night for 18°. You can choose another rule in the calculation settings.
Prayer times by calculation method, 8 November
Mosques use different twilight angles for Fajr and Isha, which is why timetables in Thurles can differ: today the earliest and latest Fajr are 33 min apart, and Isha differs by up to 29 min.
