Calculation method in Turkey
By default we calculate prayer times in Turkey with the Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı (Turkey) method (Fajr 18°, Isha 17°), in line with the timetables of the religious authorities or most mosques in the country. You can choose another method on any city page.
Asr is calculated by the standard rule (Shafi‘i, Maliki and Hanbali schools): it begins when the shadow of an object equals its length plus its noon shadow. The later Hanafi Asr is shown on every city page too.
Our map data includes 53,931 mosques in Turkey; each city page lists the mosques nearby.
